If it says Lakeview, it faces the bay

That is the lodge's own rule. Rooms and suites with Lakeview in the name look over East Grand Traverse Bay; the Standard and ADA King rooms sit on the south side with city views. Here is the building from the sand up.

“Stayed here with my family over the weekend and it was truly a beautiful property with cabin like architecture that transports you into another world. The kids had the greatest time running around the beautiful beach. The water was shallow very far out so they could enjoy running around! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.”

“This is a beautiful lodge. We stayed in a king walk out patio room. Absolutely beautiful! It was so relaxing sitting on the patio in the morning and enjoying the scenery. The fire pit and seating were relaxing during the evening.”

“My favorite place to stay in Traverse City. Just outside the busy downtown area, but close enough to get anywhere you want to go. The rooms are comfortable, roomy, and right on the water. I have never been disappointed with a stay here.”

“Excellent, we got a 2 bedroom suite in the off season. Gorgeous view of the bay. Cabin kind of feel with wood trim and fireplace. Loved the soaker tub next to the bed. Full kitchen and very large suite.”
