Eight ways to stay
Rooms and suites, read from the water
Tamarack Lodge sorts its rooms by one question: does the window look at East Grand Traverse Bay or at the city? Four hotel rooms and four condominium suites are lined up below with the same six facts each, so you can read straight across and book the one that fits your weekend.
The lodge's own rule: if the room type name includes the word Lakeview, it has a lake view. Not every room does.

Bay side: six ways to face the water
Two hotel rooms and all four suites look over the bay. The Walkout steps onto a private lakefront patio, the Balcony sits higher with its own balcony, and the suites add separate bedrooms, a washer and dryer in the unit and a balcony of their own. The one bedroom suites cook on a two-burner cooktop with no oven; the two and three bedroom suites have fully furnished kitchens.
| Room type | Faces | Beds | Kitchen | Bath | Outdoor space |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lakeview Walkout Room | Ground floor, facing the bay | One king or two queens | No kitchen listed | Soaker spa tub | Private lakefront patio |
| Lakeview Balcony Room | Higher floor, facing the bay | One king or two queens | No kitchen listed | Soaker spa tub | Private balcony |
| Lakeview One Bedroom Corner Suite | Panoramic bay views, west-facing shoreline | One king, sofa sleeper | Two-burner cooktop, no oven; washer and dryer | Walk-in shower | Private balcony |
| Lakeview One Bedroom Suite | Overlooking the bay | One king, sofa sleeper | Two-burner cooktop, no oven; washer and dryer | Shower-tub combination with jets | Private balcony |
| Lakeview Two Bedroom Suite | Overlooking the bay | Two kings, sofa sleeper | Fully furnished kitchen; washer and dryer | Ask the front desk for the layout | Private balcony |
| Lakeview Three Bedroom Suite | Overlooking the bay, the largest suite | Three kings, sofa sleeper | Fully furnished kitchen; washer and dryer | Three private bathrooms | Private balcony |

Not sure which bay-side option fits? Choose a room for two, a suite for a family or two couples. Details on beds and layouts live on the hotel rooms page and the condominium suites page. Suites are privately owned units offered for nightly stays, and the owners' side is explained under fractional ownership.

City side: two rooms on the south
The Standard Room and the ADA Accessible King Room sit on the south side of the building with city views. You still get the private beach, the pool and the firepits, since every registered guest does, but the window looks toward town instead of the bay.
| Room type | Faces | Beds | Kitchen | Bath | Outdoor space |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Room | South side of the building, city views | One king or two queens | No kitchen listed | Soaker spa tub | No balcony or patio listed |
| ADA Accessible King Room | South side, city views, barrier-free layout | One king | No kitchen listed | Roll-in shower | No balcony or patio listed |
